Is it Christmas yet?

susannefaith16 · November 5, 2020 ·

Is anyone else just ready to start Christmas and hurry this year along so we can be done with it? I am for sure. Much of my married life has been uncertain and I have had a lot of moments when I didn’t know what next week would remotely look like, however, this year has been insane for so many reason, I am just ready to celebrate Christmas!

Hi, My name is Susie Tyler. Allow me to tell you a little bit about myself. I am married to my wonderful husband, Ash, and we have three beautiful lively children. I homeschool them and we are all enjoying the fact that we didn’t have to deal with that part of Covid-19 changing up our normal. I kinda chuckle at the word “normal”, what is normal for us? My family hasn’t ever really known “normal”. We take the best out of life and try to just enjoy the crazy ride we are on.

Ash and I met in 2009, we have a crazy insane engagement story, I ended up running away and we got married and have been fighting for a better life together going on ten years. My husband has a felony that has a way of messing up our “normal” a lot more than I would like. Its one of those situations where we live in sinful world with a broken legal system. A teenage action can stick with you for the rest of your life, no matter how hard you try to rise above and be a good law abiding citizen.

It makes us fight harder for each other, and has given us a heart for people that the world marks as broken, or damaged, or just downright bad. We believe in second chances. We believe in the blood of Jesus making you new again and not having to wear the shame of the past. We believe in using our past to better our future.
Whatever happens at the end of 2020, I believe that God will still be glorified and that the victory has already been won. So lets go ahead and set that tree up and celebrate the birth of our Savior, because this world needs the hope that Jesus brings.

About Me

Hi! I am Susie....
I am a blogger, a wife to a wonderful man who happens to be a felon, and a homeschooling mama.
When I was 19 I ran away and got married, this is our story, from our wild engagement, our life in Oklahoma, and a dramatic move to Missouri. We are going on 10 years of marriage and I thought I would share our life with you. I hope you enjoy going down memory lane with me from time to time, but also not to get stuck in the past, I will be sharing with you what it is like to live on a farm shared by my parents and siblings, and all the fun that goes into raising three children in the country with a creek right out our back door.
Our story isn't done though, so stick with me and maybe we will be able to watch the best ending happen right before your eyes as my husband and I dream of a day that we can get his felony pardoned.
Thank you for stopping by! Read More…
